Twin Town Olympics

Within the mutual protocols signed with our twin towns, various social, cultural and ecomomic projects are carried out. Twin Town Olympic Games is one of the most serious organization held among the twin cities of Bergama.

It has been continuously organised every 3 years since 1978. Böblingen Municipality together with its twin towns decided to make an organisation which would bring young ones together and contribute to presentation of their cities in 1977. After the first olympiad hosted by Boblingen, Twin Town Olympiads have been organized in every 3 years among the twin cities of Böblingen which are Bergama ( Turkey ), Krems ( Austria ), Sittard Geleen ( Holland ), Boblingen ( Germany , Glenrohes ( Scotland , Pontoise ( France ) and Alba (Italy ).

Twin Town Olympics organisation is the one and only kind of organisation partnered by 7 Europian countries and with the participation of 1500 athletes under age of 18, competing at 10 different sports branches. Athletes compete to show one of the most beautiful examples of companionship and brotherhood to the whole world.
